This is a non-clinical introduction to the core concepts of trauma-informed care, the central tenets of a trauma-informed service orientation, and the importance and applicability of a trauma-informed approach in homelessness and housing service programs.

This is a non-clinical introduction to the core concepts of motivational interviewing, including an understanding of change, and the applicability of motivational interviewing in homelessness and housing service programs. The basics of harm reduction related to substance use and sex work are covered in this webinar, with practical considerations in homelessness and housing service program applications.

This is the training that started it all and continues to be our most popular training. The training focuses on how to support people through different phases of stability to sustain housing, thereby reducing returns to homelessness. This training focuses on a housing-focused approach that is thoughtful and intentional on who to prioritize for service to have the greatest impact on serving people that are unsheltered. SPDAT:

Service Prioritization Decision Assistance Tool (SPDAT) (On-Demand pre-recorded)

The SPDAT is a case management tool that uses four methods of information gathering to best understand the individual adult, unaccompanied youth or family’s strengths and support needs across four core domains: Wellness, Risks, Socialization and Daily Functions, and Housing. Families use these four core domains plus an additional domain that focuses on the needs of the children within the household. The purpose of the SPDAT is to frame a collaborative journey towards change that increases the confidence and self esteem of the household through accountable, structured goals and support.

Service Prioritization Decision Assistance Tool Train the Trainer (Live Online)

A professional that has used the SPDAT with clients/participants for three or more months is an eligible candidate to become an OrgCode approved SPDAT trainer. This allows your community to continue to train others on the use of SPDAT without needing the OrgCode team for SPDAT training.
