This three-hour training equips shelter staff with tools, insights, and strategies needed to effectively de-escalate conflict in lower-barrier environments. Participants will explore how trauma impacts behaviour, learn practical skills for responding to escalation with clarity and compassion, and identify ways to embed consistent, safety-focused practices into shelter culture. Grounded in evidence-based approaches and real-world experience, this series helps teams build confidence, reduce harm, and respond to challenging situations without relying on control or punishment.
