Emotional Intelligence in the Homelessness & Housing Stability Sector for Front-line Workers (Live)
Emotional intelligence helps staff recognize and regulate their own emotions while navigating high-stress environments. This two-hour training focuses on the importance of EI for front-line staff who are tasked with delivering services that are strengths-based, trauma-informed, and focused on building trust and rapport. We’ll examine how emotional regulation, empathy, and self-awareness directly impact de-escalation attempts, engagement, and decision-making and explore how EI influences our relationship with program participants, other staff, and leadership.
