SPDAT Training Level 1: SPDAT for Frontline Workers

Call for price

The SPDAT is an evidence-informed approach to assessing an individual’s or family’s acuity. The tool, across multiple components, prioritizes who to serve next and why, while concurrently identifying the areas in the person/family’s life where support is most likely necessary in order to avoid housing instability. Training on the tool requires one day.

Product Description

Our approach to SPDAT training follows this outline in the full day format:

  • Diversity of homeless populations;
  • Theory of coordinated access and common assessment – and the HEARTH Act expectations;
  • How to leverage strengths of individual providers in a collective process that puts the end users of services at the center;
  • The backbone of the tool;
  • The domains of inquiry in the tool;
  • The components associated with the domains;
  • How to assess and score each domain;
  • Outline of how to use that information and score to improve case management.
